Solar Filament Eruption - August 31, 2012
The giant eruption is known as a Coronal Mass Ejection or CME. The CME ejected away from the Sun at 900 miles Per Second. These are the views from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory SDO, Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory STEREO.
